📋 Description

• Develop innovative technology utilizing advancements in deep learning and machine learning to customize the Pinterest experience.

• Collaborate with various teams within Pinterest to test and enhance machine learning models for Homefeed, Ads, Growth, Shopping, and Search.

• Employ data-driven strategies and unique data attributes to refine candidate retrieval processes.

• Operate in a high-impact setting characterized by swift experimentation and product launches.

• Stay informed on industry trends related to recommendation systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD (or equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field.

• A minimum of two years of experience in the offered position, or at least one year of experience in the offered role or a related software engineer/machine learning engineer position.

• At least one year of experience using Java to develop scalable, high-performance backend services that support real-time recommendation pipelines.

• A minimum of one year of experience in experimenting with and enhancing machine learning models.

• At least one year of experience in the development and optimization of large-scale recommendation algorithms.

• A minimum of one year of experience applying Natural Language Processing techniques to recommendation systems.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Ability to solve analytical challenges using quantitative methods.

• Experience in adapting standard machine learning techniques to contemporary parallel environments, including distributed clusters, multicore SMP, or GPU.

• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.

• Familiarity with signal processing.

• Experience in data mining.

• Skill in gathering, manipulating, or analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data from diverse sources.
