This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Design, develop, and implement machine learning and AI-driven solutions for intricate identity security issues.
• Take ownership of research, prototyping, and execution across traditional ML functions and agentic AI systems.
• Assess and utilize foundational models, agents, fine-tuning, and frameworks for model evaluation.
• Convert AI research and prototypes into practical, production-ready systems.
• Enhance model quality, accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
• Establish and promote best practices in ML engineering, testing, observability, and architecture.
• Articulate complex AI and ML concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to define and deliver AI functionalities.
• Work cross-functionally with platform and analytics teams to integrate solutions within SailPoint's ecosystem.
• Participate in model lifecycle management, AI governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Develop an understanding of SailPoint's AI vision, architecture, initiatives, data pipelines, platforms, and deployment frameworks.
• Contribute to comprehensive ML or AI projects and AI-powered workflows, agents, or prototypes.
• Drive improvements in AI product performance, scalability, reliability, and customer impact.
• Contribute to reusable ML and AI platform components and engage in technical roadmap discussions.
• Deliver high-impact AI solutions from conception to production.
• Mentor colleagues and promote the adoption of emerging AI technologies.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in machine learning, AI, or a related technical domain.
• Extensive expertise in machine learning with hands-on experience in building and deploying production ML systems.
• Experience in developing AI-powered applications using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, agent frameworks, or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated experience applying anomaly detection, semantic search, embeddings, similarity measurement, classification, or ranking to real-world issues.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Proficiency with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, feature engineering, statistical analysis, experimentation, and model evaluation.
• Proven ability to build and maintain ML systems in production settings.
• Strong foundations in software engineering, including testing, modularization, code reviews, observability, and operational excellence.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices, including model monitoring, experiment tracking, retraining, and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working across cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Preferred: Experience in cybersecurity, identity, or enterprise SaaS systems.
• Preferred: In-depth expertise in NLP, Behavioral Modeling, Time Series, Graph ML, Search, or Recommendation Systems.
• Preferred: Experience overseeing the technical design and delivery of complex ML or AI capabilities.
• Preferred: Background in designing or implementing AI agents, agentic workflows, or autonomous AI systems.
• Preferred: Hands-on experience in building and deploying ML and AI applications in cloud-native environments.
