Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee production pipelines on Databricks Jobs, linking tasks through depends_on and managing failure scenarios (ALL_SUCCESS / ALL_DONE)

• Set up and sustain deployments using Databricks Asset Bundles, facilitating promotions across development, QA, and production environments with resource/deployment files for each country

• Administer model and artifact lifecycles within MLflow and Unity Catalog, encompassing registration, versioning, Champion/Challenger aliases, and rollback processes

• Manage computing resources across workspaces and standardize cost-monitoring tags for Financial Operations

• Integrate with AIOps and monitoring systems

• Troubleshoot runtime incidents and collaborate with development teams

• Ensure production pipelines remain healthy, dependable, observable, and scalable across various environments and countries

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in orchestrating data and ML pipelines on Databricks (Jobs, Workflows, cluster policies)

• Strong CI/CD background with Azure DevOps, gitflow, and pull requests

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs)

• Familiarity with code quality standards, including black, isort, and mypy

• Advanced proficiency in Python

• Advanced SQL skills

• Knowledge of Delta and Unity Catalog

• Experience with multi-country schemas, drift and cost monitoring, and automation of deployments

• Background in developing AI agents or agentic infrastructure, such as the Mosaic AI Agent Framework, agent orchestration, or MCP (preferred)

• Currently residing in Mexico or a similar time zone to align with Mexico's working hours (preferred)
