Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Design and implement full-stack machine learning models, including binary classification and regression, aimed at detecting and preventing financial crimes during transaction processing and client onboarding.

• Collect requirements, create prototypes, and deploy models into production environments.

• Take ownership of the Dynamic Risk Score, ensuring it evolves across all markets while scoring the entire client base on a daily basis.

• Oversee transaction rules through ML-driven detection and enhance performance and alert volumes.

• Set up continuous monitoring of model and rule performance in a production setting.

• Create a champion-challenger framework to maintain the best-performing model actively.

• Assist in the development of ML infrastructure for model operationalization and inter-service communications.

• Deploy, manage, monitor, and enhance the production ML product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Full-stack Data Scientist.

• Experience with production deployment, including API services like FastAPI.

• Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, such as Databricks.

• Strong architectural abilities to design and refine infrastructure for models with varying complexities.

• Experience in model monitoring as well as champion-challenger / A-B evaluation in a production environment.

• A quantitative educational background in fields such as mathematics, engineering, economics, or computer science.

• Full working proficiency in English.

• Exposure to graph modeling or foundation models/embeddings is advantageous.

• A critical and analytical mindset; proactive, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a start-up atmosphere.
