Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Execute AI/ML initiatives on AWS utilizing both native services and custom-developed models.

• Assist with cloud migration processes.

• Enhance customer databases and data workflows.

• Integrate operational and functional data processes with AI/ML algorithms.

• Design, construct, and manage infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL, AWS migration, and big data technologies.

• Improve cloud RDBMS engines and address customer security, performance, and operational challenges.

• Create, build, and maintain extensive, intricate data lakes.

• Streamline the ingestion, storage, processing, and retrieval of varied data types, including near-real-time events, IoT, images, audio, video, and documents.

• Utilize Jupyter Notebooks for the development and deployment of ML models.

• Harness AWS AI/ML pre-configured solutions.

• Ensure customer data is kept separate and secure to comply with regulatory and compliance standards.

• Collaborate with solutions architects, project managers, data scientists, executives, product teams, data, software development, design teams, customers, and internal stakeholders.

• Address data-related technical challenges, data infrastructure, and business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer position.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Proficient in big data tools such as Spark, ElasticSearch, Hadoop, Kafka, and Kinesis.

• Familiarity with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, or Cassandra.

• Experience with AWS cloud services like EC2, RDS, EMR, and Redshift.

• Proficient in functional and scripting languages such as Python, Java, and Scala.

• Experience with ML models for tasks like classification, scoring, and more.

• Knowledge of Deep Learning Neural Networks, including Convolutional networks and NLP.

• Familiar with AWS AI/ML Services.

• Strong Python programming skills.

• Advanced SQL proficiency and relational database experience, including query writing.

• Experience in constructing and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.

• Strong analytical skills concerning unstructured datasets.

• Experience in developing processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency management, and workload management.

• Basic understanding of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data storage solutions.

• Experience in supporting and collaborating with external customers in a dynamic environment.
