This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Deliver technically proficient Loss Control Services in line with the company's policies and procedures.
• Provide essential support services within the territory to facilitate the acquisition and retention of profitable business.
• Work remotely and travel up to 60% of the time, which may include some overnight stays.
• Survey and service commercial risks of varying sizes and complexities for workers' compensation coverage.
• Initiate and oversee all service account scheduling and activities within the designated territory.
• Meet or surpass all service standards.
• Achieve risk improvement through management consultation, hazard-control recommendations, and direct support services to insured clients.
• Conduct loss control services and training for customers aimed at reducing losses.
• Engage in team activities intended to assist in account retention.
• Maintain specialized professional expertise in loss control support for workers' compensation products.
• Stay updated on company/department manuals, procedures, and applicable Federal, State, and other relevant codes and regulations concerning Property, Liability, and Casualty lines of coverage.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10+ years of loss control experience with a significant provider of workers' compensation insurance is preferred.
• The ideal candidate will reside in the Greater Los Angeles area.
• In-depth knowledge of workers' compensation is essential.
• Capability to conduct training programs and classes for clients.
• Basic understanding of underwriting and product management skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lines of insurance coverage, engineering principles, loss control concepts, and safety standards and codes.
• Strong preference will be given to candidates with industry designations such as Associate in Risk Management, Certified Engineering Technician, Certified Safety Professional, or a degree in Engineering.
• A Master's degree in Safety and Health may be accepted in lieu of one of the professional designations.
• Proficiency in the extensive use of computers and software applications is required.
