Senior Looker Developer, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance Power Digital's enterprise LookML semantic layer, serving as the governed foundation for analytics throughout the organization and its clients.

• Develop scalable and high-performance LookML with comprehensive metadata tailored for conversational analytics applications.

• Convert vague stakeholder and client requests into technical solutions, designing scalable and reusable Looker assets.

• Create data products in Looker for both internal stakeholders and clients, utilizing principles of data visualization and UI/UX.

• Design LookML for efficiency and scalability, optimizing aggregate layers and queries, while managing and governing LookML across multiple Looker instances.

• Maintain ownership of the LookML style guide and naming conventions.

• Provide training and support for users transitioning to self-service analytics.

• Mentor junior developers and analysts to enhance their skills.

• Leverage AI technologies to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.

• Establish a source of truth for metric definitions and uphold semantic metadata for Conversational Analytics and AI-driven queries.

• Deliver priority Looker data products for both client and internal projects.

• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to identify and resolve performance issues.

• Review pull requests and work alongside junior developers on modeling and visualization tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience managing the complete lifecycle of production-grade LookML models and data products.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, particularly with modern cloud data warehouses; experience with Snowflake and BigQuery is preferred.

• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and the principles of data warehousing.

• Experience in an agency setting, particularly in performance marketing analytics.

• Familiarity with measurement, channels, and the fast-paced environment of a digital marketing agency serving both eCommerce and B2B clients.

• Proven experience in deploying and managing LookML across multiple Looker instances.

• Knowledge of extensible LookML and modular visualizations in a multi-tenant setup.

• Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.

• Proficient in Git-based version control and CI/CD processes.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, both with engineering teams and executives.

• Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
