
Senior Litigation Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Assist attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, arbitration, regulatory, and investigative activities.
• Organize and oversee document collections, responses to discovery requests, and productions.
• Administer legal holds, preservation notifications, and associated tracking processes.
• Maintain matter-related information within legal matter management systems while ensuring data accuracy.
• Oversee litigation budgets, invoices from external counsel, accruals, and reports on legal expenditures.
• Aid in processing subpoenas, garnishments, levies, and records requests across various jurisdictions.
• Perform legal and factual research utilizing Westlaw, PACER, court dockets, and internal databases.
• Review and summarize pleadings, discovery responses, deposition transcripts, and other relevant case documents.
• Generate matter status updates, dashboards, presentations, and reports for executive review.
• Provide support for trial preparation, hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Collaborate with internal business partners and outside counsel to collect information and adhere to litigation timelines.
• Create and sustain templates, procedures, and best practices aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
• Mentor junior paralegals and engage in initiatives related to litigation operations.
• A Bachelor's degree along with a Paralegal Certificate, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Over 7 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm, financial institution, or a complex in-house legal department.
• Comprehensive understanding of civil litigation procedures, discovery processes, and court filings.
• Experience in managing intricate document collections and electronic discovery.
• Background in supporting external counsel management, budgeting, and invoice assessments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal matter management systems, PACER, Westlaw, and eDiscovery tools.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management capabilities.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• High level of professionalism and capacity to manage confidential information.
• Experience in financial services or banking litigation.
• Background in supporting complex commercial litigation, class actions, regulatory matters, or governmental investigations.
• Experience with legal operations, reporting, analytics, and process enhancement initiatives.
