Senior Linux Systems Specialist – Tier 3

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Interact with clients and manage their requests.

• Address client system alerts promptly.

• Execute system patching and health assessments for clients.

• Carry out deployments following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Onboard new clients and develop infrastructure enhancement roadmaps.

• Record time for all hours worked diligently.

• Work collaboratively with the expanding team to support the customer base.

• Resolve technical challenges while considering client business needs.

• Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of Linux-based operating systems.

• Extensive knowledge of Networking concepts.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCloud, and Digital Ocean.

• Proficient in debugging Unix-based operating systems and low-level IP networking.

• Experience with RHEL and Debian-based Linux distributions.

• Skills in debugging container-based workloads and runtime tools such as LXC/D, Docker, and Podman.

• Knowledge of container orchestration systems like Kubernetes and Docker Swarm.

• Experience with Linux-based hypervisor systems and associated tools such as KVM, Xen/XCP-ng, and Proxmox.

• Proficient scripting abilities in Bash and Python.

• Over 5 years of relevant work experience.

• Capability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail, along with organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines and self-manage workload effectively.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

• Availability for some after-hours work is required.

• Canadian citizenship or permanent residency in Canada is necessary.

• A 2-year technical diploma (CIS or CS) or higher is considered an additional qualification.
