This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage with and address client inquiries.

• Manage alerts from client systems.

• Execute system patching and health assessments for clients.

• Carry out deployments following established operating procedures.

• Facilitate the onboarding of new clients and devise infrastructure enhancement roadmaps.

• Log hours for all work performed.

• Collaborate effectively with the team to foster strong customer relationships.

• Address technical challenges with a focus on clients' business needs.

• Some after-hours availability may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Linux-based operating systems.

• Proficient understanding of networking principles.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and DigitalOcean.

• Capability to debug Unix-based operating systems and IP networking at a fundamental level.

• Familiarity with RHEL and Debian-based Linux distributions.

• Expertise in debugging containerized workloads and runtime tools, including LXC/D, Docker, and Podman.

• Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker Swarm.

• Knowledge of Linux hypervisor systems and associated tools like KVM, Xen/XCP-ng, and Proxmox.

• Proficient scripting abilities in Bash and Python.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the outlined responsibilities.

• Willingness to work occasional after-hours shifts.

• Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

• Preferred qualifications include experience in Linux consulting or contracting, familiarity with ticketing systems, Linux database performance optimization and clustering, advanced networking, software development, platform certifications, and a technical diploma of 2 years or more.
