Senior Linux Systems Specialist – Tier 3

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage with clients and address their requests

• Manage client system alerts

• Perform patching and health checks on client systems

• Execute deployments following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Facilitate the onboarding of new clients and develop infrastructure improvement roadmaps

• Record and track all hours worked

• Be available for occasional after-hours work

• Collaborate with the team to support the customer base

• Resolve technical issues considering clients’ business needs

• Foster strong customer relationships

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Linux-based operating systems

• Proficient understanding of networking

• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and DigitalOcean

• Capability to debug Unix-based operating systems and IP networking at a granular level

• Familiarity with RHEL and Debian-based Linux distributions

• Experience troubleshooting containerized workloads and runtime environments, including LXC/D, Docker, and Podman

• Knowledge of container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes and Docker Swarm

• Experience with Linux-based hypervisor systems and associated tools, including KVM, Xen/XCP-ng, and Proxmox

• Proficient scripting abilities in Bash and Python

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience

• Willingness to occasionally work after-hours

• Canadian citizenship or permanent residency in Canada

• A 2-year technical diploma (CIS or CS) or higher is considered a plus

• Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, RHEL, or similar platforms are viewed as a plus
