Senior Linux Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Assist CIQ in its market initiatives in Japan by acting as the technical partner to the Senior Account Executive.

• Engage with prospects, empower partners, and guarantee technical success throughout both pre-sales and post-sales processes.

• Create solutions utilizing CIQ’s product offerings, including RLC, Fuzzball, Warewulf, and Apptainer.

• Guide customers through their evaluation, adoption, and scaling processes.

• Collaborate with the Senior Account Executive to comprehend customer requirements, develop solutions, and facilitate sales opportunities.

• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and interactive workshops.

• Lead technical discovery sessions, design solution architectures, and oversee proof-of-concept implementations.

• Provide advice on infrastructure integration, best deployment practices, and performance optimization.

• Offer technical training and architectural guidance to local system integrators and resellers.

• Act as a liaison between customers and CIQ engineering, promoting product improvements and ensuring alignment with the product roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in Japan.

• Senior-level technical expert with extensive customer-facing experience and profound knowledge of Linux-based infrastructures.

• Enthusiastic about open source and adept at supporting performance-critical environments (HPC, AI/ML, hybrid cloud).

• Proficient with whiteboarding, command line, and customer interactions (both virtually and in-person).

• Experience working alongside sales teams to finalize complex technical agreements.

• Fluent in Japanese and capable of effective communication in English (both written and verbal).

• Over 7 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or systems engineering roles.

• Expert knowledge of Linux, containerization, and systems integration.

• Preferred hands-on experience with HPC workload orchestration or parallel computing tools.

• Familiarity with Rocky Linux, Warewulf, Apptainer, or similar open-source infrastructures is advantageous.

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage multiple customer projects within a remote-first environment.
