This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia, +1 more country.
• Design, develop, and oversee Ansible automation workflows for system administration, deployments, and configurations.
• Manage and enhance Linux-based systems to ensure high performance, security, and reliability.
• Install, upgrade, and transition Linux, Unix, and AIX servers.
• Create Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and software deployments.
• Integrate Ansible automation with CI/CD pipelines and various DevOps tools.
• Manage enterprise automation environments utilizing Ansible and Puppet.
• Administer Infoblox and BIND DNS environments.
• Support Unix/Linux server nodes across VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, and Citrix Xen environments.
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Linux servers, networking, and automation scripts.
• Maintain documentation regarding automation processes, configurations, and system architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation strategies and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices and policies.
• Provide technical support to clients based in the United States during Eastern Time hours.
• At least 8 years of experience in Unix/Linux server administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in RHEL versions 6/7/8/9.
• Extensive experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet, particularly in deployment playbooks.
• In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux administration across HPUX, IBM AIX, RHEL, Suse, CentOS, Ubuntu, and MacOS.
• Experience in administering BIND and Infoblox DNS.
• Networking expertise, including Ethernet configuration, NIC bonding, TCP/IP troubleshooting, and Tcpdump/Wireshark packet analysis.
• Familiarity with NTP, NFS, SUDO, and LDAP client administration.
• Proficiency in SFTP setup and management.
• Scripting abilities in sh/csh/ksh/bash and automation programming with sed, awk, and Python.
• Experience in performance tuning.
• Background in deploying Unix/Linux systems in VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, and Citrix Xen.
• Experience with Linux patching.
• Availability to work during Eastern Time in the United States, from 8 PM–6 AM EST.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for automation.
• Relevant certifications are advantageous.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow is preferred.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
