Senior Libraries Engineer – AI, HPC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create scalable library software utilizing contemporary tools and languages for numerical methods.

• Optimize performance, fine-tune, and benchmark algorithms across various architectures.

• Collaborate with leadership as well as internal and external partners to ascertain feature and performance requirements.

• Contribute to the technical roadmaps of libraries.

• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to library engineers.

• Identify opportunities to enhance user experience and library efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferably a PhD or MSc degree in Computational Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing high-performance parallel numerical applications on modern computing platforms.

• Proficient in GPU acceleration using CUDA.

• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and software development.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and completing software development projects.

• Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.

• Solid understanding of CPU and/or GPU hardware architecture.

• Familiarity with CI/CD systems.

• Experience with project management tools like JIRA.

• Experience in working within a distributed organization.

• Proficient in debugging, profiling, and testing for accuracy and performance.

• Fluent in Python.
