Junior AI Engineer – Pharma

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain components for AI-driven applications utilizing Python.

• Create scripts, API integrations, prompts, and basic AI workflows for validated use cases.

• Prepare and process data while connecting to authorized enterprise data sources.

• Assist in Retrieval-Augmented Generation and knowledge-grounding workflows.

• Develop unit and integration tests and assess AI outputs for quality and reliability.

• Investigate issues and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of AI solutions.

• Utilize Git and engage in code reviews and collaborative development practices.

• Assist with containerization, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting tasks.

• Document implementation specifics, setup procedures, limitations, and test outcomes.

• Explore relevant AI tools and provide prototypes and recommendations to the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Internship experience or up to 1 year of experience in software development, AI engineering, data science, automation, or a related technical discipline.

• Proficient knowledge of Python and fundamental software engineering practices, such as OOP, debugging, and testing.

• Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and integration with external services.

• Initial hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, or agent-based workflows through projects or coursework.

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development methodologies.

• Basic understanding of databases and data management; SQL knowledge is a plus.

• Strong curiosity, eagerness to learn, and structured problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication and documentation skills.

• Proficiency in English is essential.

• Involvement in academic, internship, open-source, or personal projects related to AI, Python, APIs, or backend development.

• Exposure to containers, CI/CD, cloud platforms, or deployment processes.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity or threat intelligence.

• Interest in secure development, AI evaluation, data privacy, and ethical AI practices.
