Senior Liability Claims Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee mid to complex Auto and/or General Liability claims, which include bodily injury and property damage.

• Manage litigated cases by utilizing delegated authority and adhering to company best practices.

• Receive claims and verify policy coverage along with claim acknowledgment.

• Assess claim validity and compensability.

• Investigate and manage Auto and/or General Liability claims effectively.

• Set reserves and approve payments within the limits of reserving authority.

• Update customers, claimants, and clients regarding claim status.

• Follow client and carrier guidelines diligently.

• Participate in claims reviews as necessary.

• Collaborate with team members on intricate or challenging claims.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in handling General Liability claims, including those with high exposure and/or litigated cases.

• At least two (2) years of experience managing Auto Liability claims.

• A Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience is required.

• A current Adjuster’s License for the state of operation is mandatory.

• A Multi-State license is preferred.

• Experience with municipalities is an advantage.

• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to learn swiftly and develop a thorough understanding of claims practices.

• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems effectively.

• Proficient in computer use and possesses technical aptitude.

• Competence with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel spreadsheets.

• Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational abilities.

• Capability to meet or exceed performance objectives.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
