This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Collaborate and engage with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Customer Experience, Onboarding, Lifecycle, and various operational teams.
• Oversee client expectations for both internal and external clients through a customer-focused approach.
• Create template contracts, playbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge resources, emphasizing the EOR product.
• Perform comprehensive legal research on new products and regulations, pinpointing risks and opportunities.
• Propel the growth and improvement of the legal function by implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
• Guide, train, and assist junior members of the legal team.
• Maintain relationships with Local Counsel when issues are escalated to outside legal representatives.
• Supervise local counsel and take the lead on litigation and collections matters when required.
• Identify and suggest creative solutions to legal challenges and processes.
• Handle internal and client escalations effectively.
• Partner with Legal Ops on projects aimed at efficiency and AI initiatives.
• Report directly to the Managing Counsel of the Core Team.
• Qualified and experienced lawyer.
• Passionate about working in a tech-scaleup environment, particularly in HR-tech.
• Significant experience in legal practice, ideally in labor and employment law.
• Capable of quickly learning and mastering Remote's communication application (Slack), contract management system, documentation tools (Notion, Google Drive), and task management systems (Notion, ZenDesk).
• Enthusiastic about exploring various legal systems and employment laws.
• Innovative legal thinker.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Able to simplify complex issues into clear and concise language.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead legal projects.
• Proven experience in mentoring and guiding junior legal professionals.
• Prior experience with remote work is not mandatory; however, it is advantageous.
