Senior Lead, Software Engineering Specialist – Workday Benefits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, test, and implement Workday Benefits solutions.

• Act as a subject matter expert on Workday Benefits.

• Convert business requirements into Workday configuration solutions.

• Provide guidance on best practices and recognize impacts across related domains.

• Ensure that solutions are sustainable, supportable, accurate, compliant, and scalable.

• Assist with production Workday environments, including troubleshooting and live-system configuration modifications.

• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, downstream teams, integration partners, and technical teams.

• Evaluate end-to-end impacts throughout the Hire-to-Retire lifecycle.

• Handle competing priorities and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of hands-on experience in Workday configuration, with a strong focus on Benefits.

• Capability to independently design and deliver Workday configuration solutions from requirements to deployment.

• Comprehensive understanding of benefits and payroll-related business processes, including downstream effects.

• Experience in supporting production Workday environments, including troubleshooting and live configuration changes.

• Experience with global or multi-country Workday deployments.

• Knowledge of Workday business process frameworks, security considerations, and reporting implications related to Time and Absence.

• Ability to transform business requirements into scalable, supportable Workday solutions using best-practice configuration methods.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities in an enterprise, cross-functional setting.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, HRIS, or a related field (preferred).

• Experience configuring additional Workday functional areas such as Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, or Projects (preferred).

• Experience working within a matrixed or global team (preferred).
