Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain internal tools that incorporate AI into everyday engineering tasks, such as coding assistants, AI-aided test generation, deployments, and defect triage.

• Contribute to enhancing observability within the AI-assisted pipeline.

• Recognize manual coding, testing, and release processes that can be automated and create solutions for them.

• Break down work into manageable, releasable components that can be delivered continuously.

• Collaborate closely with a product manager to ensure development aligns with actual delivery objectives.

• Enhance working methods and promote the adoption of AI technologies.

• Integrate AI into the testing process through exploratory test generation, defect clustering, flaky-test detection, and intelligent test prioritization.

• Assess and assist in implementing LLM-based developer tools such as Claude Code.

• Safely integrate developer tools with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and CI/CD environments.

• Adhere to and improve responsible AI standards concerning SDLC data management, prompt hygiene, and production/customer data safeguards.

• Guide less experienced engineers on the effective utilization of AI tools.

• Collaborate with security and compliance teams on regulatory and data management requirements.

• Monitor AI tool metrics, including cycle time, defect escape rate, test coverage, and delivery turnaround.

• Iterate based on performance analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience as a Software Engineer, demonstrating technical judgment in production environments.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles.

• High proficiency in test-driven development and pair programming as essential practices.

• Proven ownership of features or systems, from design to deployment and production support.

• Experience working across the technology stack.

• Strong expertise in Java and the modern backend services ecosystem, or advanced front-end skills in React / React Native, with a willingness to engage across the stack.

• A genuine enthusiasm for aggressive automation and the complete elimination of manual processes.

• Some background in evaluating or utilizing LLM-based developer tools in practical engineering contexts.

• Preferred: experience with MCP, agentic tooling, or Spec Driven Development.

• Familiarity with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) and its APIs.

• Previous experience in financial services, trading platforms, or other regulated, high-reliability sectors.
