This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Contribute to one of the largest social media platforms in the world, managing petabytes of data on a daily basis.
• Collaborate within a self-organized R&D team in a dynamic and innovative setting.
• Receive tasks from the project lead or Team Lead.
• Develop functional and design specifications, securing approval from stakeholders.
• Provide time estimations, agree on task durations with management, and play a role in the project planning process.
• Update and enhance local and metadata models.
• Address crisis situations within your designated area of responsibility.
• Comprehend business drivers and analytical use cases, translating them into data products.
• Initiate and perform code reviews.
• Establish code standards, conventions, and guidelines.
• Propose technical and functional enhancements to increase product value.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Kubernetes/DevOps Engineer.
• A university degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and batch schedulers (e.g., Volcano, Kueue).
• Thorough understanding of distributed systems, containerization, and cloud-native architectures.
• Practical experience in managing workloads on Kubernetes clusters such as AWS EKS.
• A proven history of working on infrastructure migrations.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Golang.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm).
• Knowledge in observability and monitoring for GPU clusters (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
