This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Serve as a Kubernetes/DevOps Engineer for a large-scale social media platform that processes petabytes of data on a daily basis.
• Collaborate as part of a self-organized R&D team in a dynamic and innovative environment.
• Receive tasks from the project lead or Team Lead.
• Develop functional and design specifications while securing stakeholder approval.
• Provide task estimations, confirm task durations with management, and contribute to the overall project plan.
• Update and enhance local and metadata models.
• Address crisis situations within your designated area of responsibility.
• Comprehend business drivers and analytical use cases, translating them into data products.
• Initiate and perform code reviews.
• Establish code standards, conventions, and guidelines.
• Propose technical and functional enhancements to increase the product's value.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Kubernetes/DevOps Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and batch schedulers like Volcano and Kueue.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, containerization, and cloud-native architectures.
• Practical experience managing workloads on Kubernetes clusters, specifically AWS EKS.
• Proven history of working on infrastructure migrations.
• Proficiency in Python and Golang.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, including Terraform and Helm.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring for GPU clusters using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
