Senior Java Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain high-scale microservices, data models, and integration patterns for essential backend solutions.

• Lead initiatives and suggest straightforward, effective architectural solutions that align with system requirements and product objectives.

• Assume complete responsibility for end-to-end technical solutions from design through to production rollout.

• Ensure the security and optimization of high-availability, low-latency systems and database query processing for volume-intensive financial operations.

• Create, implement, and continuously enhance robust REST APIs.

• Manage end-to-end deployment workflows, overseeing pipelines and CI/CD routines across both containerized and non-containerized environments.

• Utilize AWS services to facilitate distributed architectures and event-driven data flows.

• Integrate advanced AI-assisted development tools into everyday engineering practices.

• Develop and enhance high-availability payment platforms, optimizing key payment rails within the fintech sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of substantial experience in Java and constructing resilient backend services.

• Experience with deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices, both containerized and non-containerized.

• Strong expertise in building high-availability, low-latency systems and designing robust REST APIs.

• Practical, hands-on knowledge of payment systems, particularly in acquiring or issuing domains.

• Proficiency in working with AWS cloud infrastructure, including Lambda, EKS, ECS, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.

• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and integration patterns.

• Active user of AI agents and development assistants for designing, generating, and consistently improving code quality.

• Previous experience in promotional environments or with acquiring processors.

• Familiarity with AWS tools such as CloudWatch and DMS.
