Senior Java Developer – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Become a member of a development team focused on Java APIs and microservices.

• Collaborate with clients throughout Latin America, including key accounts in the financial and banking sectors.

• Engage in the Agile ceremonies of the development team.

• Design and create APIs.

• Build Java microservices utilizing Spring Boot.

• Improve and maintain APIs currently in production.

• Transition legacy APIs to contemporary architectures.

• Implement secure coding best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

• Manage multiple clients and business environments simultaneously.

• Work alongside teams located in Brazil and other countries in the region.

• Occasionally interact in Spanish with local stakeholders.

• Contribute to the advancement of the team’s processes, including technical documentation, service ownership, version control, and deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Java 17+

• Familiarity with JUnit 5 for unit testing.

• Experience using Docker and Docker Compose.

• Knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases.

• Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

• Experience with Spring Boot.

• Proficient in Git.

• Familiarity with messaging tools.

• Experience in developing cloud-native applications.

• Knowledge of AWS services: IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS, EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.

• Understanding of API Gateway.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Spanish.

• Nice to have: experience with event-driven architecture.

• Nice to have: knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Nice to have: understanding of microservices patterns.

• Nice to have: familiarity with Golang.

• Nice to have: knowledge of JavaScript.

• Nice to have: understanding of Open Finance.

• Preferred: advanced or fluent proficiency in Spanish.
