Senior Java Developer – E-Commerce, Accounting, Marketplaces

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain robust billing applications and features, including systems for invoice generation, utilizing Java 25.

• Architect and oversee highly concurrent, multi-threaded application logic to ensure memory efficiency and system stability.

• Take ownership of infrastructure tasks, guaranteeing that systems are scalable, reliable, and well-maintained.

• Utilize and optimize both SQL and NoSQL databases, including Bigtable.

• Design and maintain high-quality API integrations following standards like Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Implement and manage solutions within cloud environments, preferably on GCP.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in backend development.

• Strong proficiency in Java.

• Familiarity with AI Coding Tools and a willingness to promote AI Adoption in the Development process.

• Capable of breaking down complex problems, clarifying requirements with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and designing clean, well-architected solutions.

• Demonstrated experience in async environments and multi-threaded application logic.

• Proven track record in owning infrastructure and ensuring system scalability and reliability.

• Excellent skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and analysis.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and identify root causes.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

• Experience with Git.

• Familiarity with continuous deployment pipelines such as GitLab.

• Experience with agile methodologies, including monthly scope planning and regular code reviews.
