Senior Java Developer – Baltic States, Poland Citizen

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Java microservices utilizing Spring Boot and JPA/Hibernate.

• Create and integrate REST/SOAP services alongside Kafka-based messaging solutions.

• Optimize SQL queries to ensure peak performance on Oracle Database.

• Participate in core banking transformation and legacy modernization projects.

• Work collaboratively within Agile/Scrum teams, offering technical guidance and conducting code reviews.

• Maintain high availability, resilience, and compliance with regulations across distributed systems.

• Deliver new functionalities, mitigate technical debt, and support essential core banking services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in enterprise Java development (Java 11/17+).

• Extensive expertise in the Spring Framework and Spring Boot.

• Demonstrated experience with REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

• Practical experience with JPA/Hibernate and build tools like Maven or Gradle.

• Proficient in Kafka (or comparable messaging systems) and performance tuning for Oracle Database.

• Strong understanding of core banking architecture, integration patterns, and high-availability design principles.

• Experience working in production-critical financial environments and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Fluent in English.

• Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

• Familiarity with core banking platforms such as Oracle FLEXCUBE, Temenos T24, Finacle, Mambu, or Thought Machine.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), automated testing, and ISO 20022/SWIFT standards.

• Background in core banking migration or transformation initiatives.
