Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable applications utilizing Java and contemporary frontend technologies.

• Serve as a role model and guide a development team in their daily tasks and deliveries.

• Actively enhance engineering practices.

• Facilitate technical discussions and play a key role in architectural decisions.

• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional groups.

• Ensure code is clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested.

• Take full ownership of features and deliver complete solutions independently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience with Java.

• Proficient in Java 17+, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.

• Experience in designing and developing APIs.

• Strong grasp of relational and NoSQL databases.

• Skilled in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.

• Knowledge of design patterns, clean coding principles, and testing methodologies.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Willingness to utilize modern AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and ChatGPT.

• Experience in contributing to early-stage projects, developing solutions, collaborating with architects, and assessing alternatives.

• Comfortable making technical decisions and justifying proposed solutions.

• Willingness to travel internationally for business purposes.

• Leadership mindset with a practical approach.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-focused attitude.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Team-oriented collaborative mindset.

• Ability to accurately estimate work and adhere to delivery timelines.

• Nice to have: experience with JavaScript and React.js, microservices architecture, cloud/cloud-native environments, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, OSS/BSS integrations, CAMARA and GSMA standards, TDD, performance optimization, and system tuning.
