Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, create, test, and maintain enterprise-level Java applications.

• Analyze and resolve intricate software defects and production challenges.

• Provide support for enhancements and maintenance activities for applications that utilize Java, Spring Framework, Struts, JSP, EJB, JMS, WebLogic, Hibernate, Oracle, and other related technologies.

• Break down monolithic systems into microservices while facilitating microservices transaction orchestration.

• Design and implement REST and SOAP-based services along with integrations.

• Develop and sustain backend services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs, Maven, and Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Collaborate with architects and senior developers on modernization efforts.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries as well as database integrations.

• Engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.

• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD processes, and application deployments.

• Work alongside cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Required).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 8 years of software development experience.

• Extensive experience in Java 17+ development.

• Proficient in Spring Framework and/or Spring Boot.

• Experience in developing REST APIs and web services.

• Strong background in microservices, JPA/Hibernate, Maven, and Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Familiarity with Oracle or other relational databases.

• Experience utilizing Git-based source control.

• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Strong verbal communication skills.

• Must have dependable internet service that supports effective telecommuting.
