Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage scalable architecture and RESTful APIs leveraging Java and Spring.

• Develop dependable backend services to oversee multi-step business processes, status lifecycles, and event-driven alerts.

• Create secure interfaces that link internal modules with external systems while complying with healthcare data privacy regulations.

• Enhance relational database schemas and optimize query performance.

• Promote software engineering best practices through code evaluations, automated unit/integration testing, and technical guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ Years of Experience: Strong foundation in core backend software development utilizing Java (11/17+).

• Extensive knowledge of Spring Boot 3, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Web.

• Proficient in relational data modeling and SQL performance optimization skills (PostgreSQL or MySQL).

• Demonstrated experience in building RESTful APIs, managing OAuth2/JWT authentication, and designing clear interface contracts.

• Familiarity with microservices, domain-driven design principles, and transactional state management.

• Expertise in automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and containerization tools (Docker, CI/CD pipelines).

• Knowledge of health-tech software requirements, data privacy regulations, or digital medical record processes.

• Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing.

• Understanding of AWS/GCP.

• Practical experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, or distributed caching systems.

• Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, or centralized logging tools (ELK stack) for monitoring microservices.
