Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Play a key role in enhancing the development and build processes.

• Design and create production-quality, enterprise-level systems utilizing messaging and microservices.

• Develop Java applications and microservices that integrate with search engines.

• Produce reliable, fast, scalable, and secure backend code that adheres to specified requirements and SLAs.

• Implement OAuth authentication protocols.

• Conduct validation through unit and integration testing.

• Support system deployment and configuration activities.

• Establish CI/CD pipelines.

• Adhere to Scrum methodologies and practices.

• Provide work estimations for requested tasks.

• Create technical documentation.

• Employ secure coding techniques and integrate logging and auditing functionalities.

• Utilize Git and adhere to pull-request workflows.

• Produce clean, secure, and high-quality code.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree combined with 9 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient in English (B2 level or higher).

• A minimum of 9 years of pertinent professional experience.

• At least 6 years of professional experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms and SOLID principles using Java 11 (or above).

• Familiarity with common Java frameworks, such as Spring and Spring Boot.

• At least 2 years of professional experience with one JavaScript front-end framework: Vue.js, jQuery, React, or Angular 2.

• Solid understanding of Java 11+, Eclipse or IntelliJ, Maven, and Git.

• Good knowledge of REST APIs, integrations, and microservices.

• Proficient with REST-based frameworks like Spring MVC and tools such as Postman.

• Experience in building SOAP and gRPC web servers and clients within the Java/Spring framework.

• Strong understanding of relational databases and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Capability to work with Spring Data and Hibernate.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

• Good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of messaging systems like ActiveMQ.

• Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as TFS/Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of front-end web application development using JavaScript, jQuery, and JSP.

• Understanding of Java EIP frameworks like Apache Camel and Spring Integration.

• Familiarity with enterprise integration methodologies, patterns, and EIP modeling.

• Knowledge of NoSQL and graph databases along with Elasticsearch.

• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.

• Capacity to work in an international and multicultural setting.

• Adaptability to rapidly evolving technologies.
