This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
β’ Oversee comprehensive project management for the array of DOC IT projects, ensuring consistency with business objectives and goals.
β’ Establish project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with vendors and stakeholders.
β’ Create, sustain, and manage intricate project plans and schedules utilizing approved project management tools.
β’ Identify, evaluate, track, and alleviate project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle; maintain RAID logs.
β’ Ensure optimal resource allocation and oversee team workloads effectively.
β’ Partner with IT leadership, business units, technical teams, and external vendors.
β’ Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver project communications, including status updates, reports, presentations, and briefings.
β’ Facilitate the resolution of stakeholder conflicts, project issues, and competing priorities; offer recommendations for project decision-making.
β’ Guide cross-functional teams of project managers, business analysts, software developers, business owners, and subject-matter experts.
β’ Administer vendor relationships and coordinate vendor activities for project deliverables.
β’ Liaise with State personnel regarding contract modifications, deliverables, issues, and other contractual matters.
β’ Ensure vendor outputs conform to contract specifications and project timelines.
β’ Maintain project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and project plans.
β’ Provide routine updates on progress, risks, and changes to senior Program Managers and leadership.
β’ Utilize MS Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, to craft leadership reports and presentations.
β’ Deliver data management, PRISM/OMS replacement, and DOC IT integration capabilities throughout the entire project lifecycle.
β’ Over 7 years of experience in managing large, intricate IT projects, ideally within a large-scale enterprise setting.
β’ Experience in managing projects through the procurement/RFP process and COTS solution implementations.
β’ Proven experience in managing software development initiatives utilizing Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
β’ Capable of managing multiple simultaneous projects within a broader program or portfolio.
β’ Experience in navigating projects within a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
β’ Skilled in managing internal and external project teams and stakeholders.
β’ Proven track record in vendor management and accountability.
β’ Experience in identifying, assessing, and alleviating project risks and issues, including maintaining RAID logs.
β’ Demonstrated ability to deliver complex IT projects on time and within budget.
β’ Experience with projects related to cloud computing, software development, IT infrastructure, and/or cybersecurity.
β’ Experience managing projects in a corrections or public safety context.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, SDLC, enterprise technology landscapes, and IT infrastructure.
β’ Familiarity with cloud environments and service models, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, such as Azure and AWS.
β’ Experience in technology lifecycle management.
β’ Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools like MS Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
β’ PMP or an equivalent project management certification.
