Senior IT Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage automation and integrations across AWS, GCP, Okta Workflows, Workato, REST APIs, webhooks, Salesforce-related systems, and various IT processes.

• Establish infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform and deploy via GitLab CI/CD.

• Lead the rollout of Claude, implement connectors, configure Claude Tag in Slack, manage MCP servers, and other AI tools like Gemini and Copilot.

• Evaluate AI connectors for security and access scope while providing support for internal agents.

• Oversee Okta and Auth0 administration, including Auth0 Actions, SCIM, MFA, device trust, and processes for joiners, movers, and leavers.

• Integrate Okta with access governance tools such as Entitle or Lumos.

• Manage DNS, PKI, WAF, rate limiting, Cloudflare, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configurations.

• Assist with CloudFront sites, coordinate hosting changes with web agencies, and support security investigations.

• Take ownership of Google Workspace, Jira, JSM, Confluence, Slack, and GitLab while collaborating with other SaaS-stack owners.

• Address Tier 2 and Tier 3 service desk escalations, troubleshoot Windows and macOS endpoints, and manage vendor support cases.

• Collaborate with the Iru Kandji and Intune team to support device-based access policies.

• Create runbooks, architecture notes, handoff documents, and process documentation.

• Ensure accurate maintenance of hardware, software, and resource inventories.

• Manage relationships with IT vendors and contractors.

• Enhance infrastructure and processes for improved scalability, reliability, and security.

• Act as the North American contact for urgent requests, escalations, and production incidents when the Tel Aviv IT team is unavailable.

• Report directly to the VP of IT as an individual contributor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in IT operations, DevOps, cloud engineering, or IAM engineering, with at least 2 years dedicated to automating IT processes; equivalent experience will also be considered.

• Proficient in Okta administration, including Okta Workflows, and experienced with Auth0 custom logic such as Actions or rules.

• Solid understanding of AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, IAM) and GCP (projects, IAM, BigQuery).

• Experience in building integrations with Workato or a similar iPaaS tool.

• Proficient in Python, Go, or Node.js with experience in REST APIs and webhooks.

• Familiar with infrastructure as code practices using Terraform or Pulumi and CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.

• Practical experience with Claude or similar LLM tools, connectors, and MCP servers, including an understanding of security implications.

• Experience with Cloudflare (DNS, certificates, Workers) and strong Google Workspace administration skills.

• Knowledge of SSO (SAML, OIDC), MFA, SCIM, RBAC, DNS, and email authentication.

• Familiarity with an MDM such as Iru Kandji or Intune, along with experience in troubleshooting Windows and macOS.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a strong inclination towards documentation.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Must demonstrate independent judgment with minimal oversight.
