Senior IT Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Formulate and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with encoviva’s buy-and-build approach.

• Assume responsibility for creating IT processes, policies, and documentation, with the potential to lead a centralized IT team.

• Manage budgets, oversee costs, and prioritize IT investments effectively.

• Facilitate innovative AI projects aimed at enhancing encoviva’s processes and services.

• Design a scalable target IT architecture and standardize IT systems and processes across all portfolio companies.

• Construct, operate, and continuously enhance a modern IT infrastructure, while introducing and supporting central business applications like ERP and CRM systems.

• Oversee networks, servers, end-user devices, and Identity & Access Management.

• Supervise external IT service providers, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and software vendors.

• Develop and enforce a thorough IT security and data protection framework, with responsibilities including cybersecurity, backup and recovery strategies, business continuity, and incident management.

• Ensure compliance with GDPR and relevant IT standards, with an aim for ISO 27001 certification in the future.

• Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and initiatives to promote security awareness.

• Provide IT support during company acquisitions, including IT due diligence processes.

• Plan and execute IT integration for new portfolio companies, ensuring systems, data, and security standards are aligned with the existing encoviva blueprint.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.

• Several years of experience in IT management, preferably in high-growth or decentralized organizations.

• Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS, networking, and security protocols.

• Proven experience in developing scalable IT structures and standards.

• Strong understanding of IT security, data protection, and compliance regulations.

• Experience with M&A or integration projects is a plus.

• An entrepreneurial mindset, a high level of ownership, and a pragmatic, hands-on approach are essential.

• Proficient in both German and English.
