Senior IT Governance Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee, organize, and implement IT Governance consulting initiatives aimed at optimizing processes, governance and management frameworks, value chains, and organizational designs.

• Analyze, model, and document IT workflows utilizing BPMN notation.

• Review and recommend enhancements to IT organizational frameworks to boost efficiency and strategic alignment.

• Establish and supervise the implementation of new IT Governance processes and controls, ensuring compliance and longevity of solutions.

• Utilize and apply IT frameworks and best practices, including COBIT and ITIL, in real-world processes and project situations.

• Create and monitor performance and compliance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of governance, IT process efficiency, and organizational performance.

• Advocate for an IT Governance and process-oriented culture by training teams and sharing knowledge.

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate workshops to identify needs and uncover opportunities.

• Cultivate a governance and compliance culture within IT to ensure adherence to established processes and policies.

• Develop and present management and executive updates to track deliverables and project outcomes.

• Collaborate across the entire process value chain, from data acquisition, organization, and analysis to the design and execution of strategic, data-driven solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Business Administration.

• A postgraduate degree or specialization in IT Governance, Project Management, Process Management, or related areas is advantageous.

• Demonstrated experience in IT Governance initiatives and Process Consulting.

• Extensive knowledge and practical experience in projects executing the COBIT 2019 and ITIL V4/V5 frameworks.

• COBIT 2019 Foundation and ITIL 4 Foundation certifications are preferred.

• Familiarity with Agile, traditional, or hybrid project methodologies (SCRUM, KANBAN, and PMBOK).

• Proficient in mapping and modeling business and IT processes, with expertise in BPMN notation and tools such as Bizagi and Miro.

• CBPP, Lean, and Six Sigma certifications are a plus.

• Experience in conducting diagnostics and defining as well as implementing IT process and value chain governance.

• Practical experience in reviewing, suggesting, and implementing IT organizational frameworks.

• Relevant experience in implementing IT Governance processes, solutions, and metrics.

• Knowledge of and experience applying agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) in IT projects.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

• Ability to identify business challenges and propose tailored, data-driven solutions.

• A solid understanding of the Oil & Gas sector's environment and challenges is desirable.

• Exceptional interpersonal communication, proactivity, analytical skills, and systems thinking capabilities.

• Advanced proficiency in English (technical reading and writing).
