This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full ownership of Cherry's internal IT ecosystem, encompassing identity management and SSO, Google Workspace, device management, and essential SaaS tools.
• Design and automate the processes for employee onboarding and offboarding, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and modifications to access.
• Manage endpoint operations and the device lifecycle, which includes procurement, provisioning/imaging, inventory management, repair/replacement, and secure disposal.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, account, and access issues across the organization.
• Collaborate with the Security team on SOC 2 and other audit obligations, access reviews, and enforcement of least-privilege access.
• Minimize manual IT tasks through the implementation of automation and scripting.
• Act as the escalation point for intricate IT challenges and provide hands-on assistance throughout the company.
• Oversee the ITSM practice, including ticketing, incident/request/change workflows, and SLA monitoring.
• Create documentation for systems, runbooks, and processes.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT engineering, systems administration, or a comparable internal IT position.
• Practical experience with administering Okta or a similar Identity Provider, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Mobile Device Management tools.
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms and the design of incident, request, and change management workflows.
• Proficient in scripting or light automation to reduce repetitive tasks.
• A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, endpoint management/device lifecycle tools, and best practices for access control.
• Experience in supporting SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or similar compliance audits from the IT perspective.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to make independent decisions as a senior or sole IT resource.
• A security-oriented mindset paired with genuine empathy for end users.
• Background in fintech, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust networking solutions.
• Basic working knowledge of AWS or GCP for internal tools and infrastructure.
• Experience in establishing IT processes from the ground up in an early-stage company.
