Principal Analyst, Enterprise Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Enterprise Solutions Architecture practice across Forrester's research teams, Sales, and Product divisions.

• Create a comprehensive research portfolio that enhances customer satisfaction and drives revenue growth.

• Cultivate a profound understanding of client requirements and the success factors critical for technology executives.

• Establish a noteworthy presence in the industry as a thought leader and influential speaker.

• Forge relationships with sector journalists and engage in vendor briefings and press inquiries.

• Perform primary research focused on architecture strategy, solutions architecture, technology platforms, roadmaps, governance, risk management, financial and cost optimization, and performance management.

• Examine the challenges and preferences of IT decision-makers alongside employee expectations.

• Produce around 8 to 12 high-quality research projects annually, including reports, tools, webinars, videos, blogs, podcasts, infographics, and other intellectual property.

• Enhance visibility for research initiatives and contribute to Forrester's client communities.

• Lead Forrester Waves and Landscape reporting for the practice and related sectors.

• Provide consulting services to clients through inquiries, guidance, advisory, and consulting engagements.

• Speak at Forrester-sponsored and industry events, and deliver client webinars.

• Co-lead the global Forrester Enterprise Architecture forum and award program.

• Contribute to the State of Modern Technology Operations survey.

• Assist in business development and prospective conversations.

• Promote cross-team collaboration, mentorship, integrity, and positive initiatives.

• Potential for advancement into the VP Principal Analyst position.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in roles such as director-level-and-above practitioner, enterprise architect, principal sales engineer, principal solutions architect, managing consultant, Director/Manager of Sales Engineering, or research analyst.

• Proven capability to counsel senior management and C-level clients effectively.

• Exceptional client-facing communication, listening, critical thinking, and collaboration abilities.

• Strong technical background in enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, and technology as a leader, with experience in key platforms.

• Familiarity with platforms including Cloud, Infrastructure, AI, Operating Systems, Security, and other technology frameworks.

• Preferred practitioner experience in Financial Services, Technology Services, or another industry vertical.

• Capability to develop high-level architecture that simplifies complex topics and research coverage.

• Ability to incorporate AI topics, technologies, tools, and solutions architecture within enterprise architecture practices.

• Proficient in engaging technology leaders across Enterprise Architecture, IT Delivery, and Operations.

• In-depth knowledge of the issues and challenges faced by technology executives and leaders.

• Expertise in the implications of current and emerging technology markets, economics, labor, and econometrics.

• Skill in distilling complex, diverse ideas into clear and compelling concepts.

• Willingness to advocate for outcomes with clients, vendors, media, and competitors.

• Strong academic record.

• Excellent analytical, writing, editing, and presentation skills.

• Willingness to travel 30% of the time or more.
