This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
β’ Offer support in filing and prosecution through docketing, paralegal services, Recordals, Information Disclosure Statements (IDS), and/or reference management.
β’ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a virtual, highly matrixed, and global setting.
β’ Organize and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet goals while complying with organizational policies and procedures.
β’ Manage incoming and outgoing domestic and international communications using IP management software.
β’ Review and submit prosecution-related documents to the USPTO at all prosecution stages.
β’ Coordinate and ensure timely instructions to foreign agents for non-US patent or trademark prosecution deadlines.
β’ Create, manage, and maintain customer documents, which includes scanning, filing, retrieving, sending requested documents, handling unfiled matters, file intakes, and file transfers.
β’ Prepare documents for signatures and collaborate with customer contacts to meet patent-office requirements, including IP applications, IDS, formalized priority claims, ADS, Power of Attorney, PCT forms, and other necessary forms.
β’ Maintain customer dockets, generate reports, and communicate regarding application deadlines and status.
β’ Develop and sustain a working knowledge of domestic and international intellectual property office rules and procedures.
β’ Assist in creating policies and procedures aimed at quality improvement.
β’ Document and monitor daily activities in the time-tracking system within established deadlines and SLAs.
β’ Collaborate with business areas to fulfill customer expectations and agreed or required service levels.
β’ Associate's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of experience in patent docketing.
β’ Proficiency in using IP management software.
β’ Experience with Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
β’ At least 2 years of experience with Memotech, Foundation IP, The IP Management System, Inprotech, or IPFolio.
β’ Experience in U.S. and foreign patent docketing as well as trademark filing and prosecution.
β’ A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is an advantage.
β’ Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
β’ This position is subject to U.S. export control requirements under EAR and ITAR.
