Senior Intrusion Analyst, OverWatch

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Safeguard customer networks by detecting and comprehending intrusions through Falcon Endpoint data and the extensive CrowdStrike product suite.

• Evaluate adversary actions and relay insights to customers.

• Conduct research to enhance detection capabilities and gain insights into adversaries.

• Develop tools and collaborate with other CrowdStrike teams on a wide array of topics and projects.

• Engage in both active and passive threat hunting activities.

• Acquire experience interacting with eCrime threat actors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to articulate complex or technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

• Proven experience in endpoint security, cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or cloud security principles.

• Strong understanding of operating systems.

• Familiarity with logging platforms such as LogScale, Splunk, or Kibana and the ability to craft queries to detect suspicious activities.

• Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI technologies to improve decision-making, optimize workflows, and enhance business outcomes.

• Solid grasp of current and emerging threats coupled with practical knowledge of security research.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

• Experience correlating investigations across third-party data sources, such as utilizing IAM data when analyzing an EDR alert.

• Background in investigating TTPs across Azure and/or AWS cloud service providers.

• Experience within a security operations center or similar environment monitoring threat actors or responding to incidents.

• Proven expertise in traditional network or host-based intrusion analysis and fundamentals of identity or cloud security.

• Published research or findings at conferences or through non-academic channels.

• Availability during PST.

• May be required to periodically undergo and pass alcohol and/or drug tests throughout employment.
