Senior Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, test, implement, and sustain RESTful APIs and system integrations that link both legacy and contemporary enterprise applications.

• Evaluate existing system interfaces, data architectures, business rules, and dependencies to facilitate modernization and integration efforts.

• Create and maintain API contracts, interface specifications, data mappings, transformations, and technical documentation.

• Build secure, reusable integration components utilizing suitable programming languages, frameworks, and enterprise integration patterns.

• Execute authentication and authorization processes, input/schema validation, error management, logging, retries, exception handling, and associated controls.

• Design data transformation and mapping logic for systems with diverse data models and structures.

• Collaborate with OneStream developers and data integration teams to establish external data exchanges with the platform.

• Assist in data validation, reconciliation, control totals, duplicate detection, and exception processing.

• Create and implement automated API and integration tests; support end-to-end and regression testing.

• Diagnose interface, API, data, connectivity, and performance issues; assist in root-cause analysis and resolution.

• Engage in code reviews, configuration/version control, CI/CD processes, release activities, and production support.

• Work alongside architects, developers, business analysts, data engineers, security teams, and testers throughout the integration lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software development or systems integration, with considerable hands-on experience in API or backend development.

• Proven track record in designing, developing, and supporting RESTful APIs and enterprise system integrations.

• Expertise in Java, C#/.NET, Python, or similar backend development technologies.

• Familiarity with JSON, XML, REST, HTTP/HTTPS, and API specifications such as OpenAPI/Swagger.

• Knowledge of API authentication and authorization methods like OAuth 2.0, tokens, certificates, or comparable enterprise security mechanisms.

• Experience with relational databases, SQL, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation processes.

• Background in implementing integration controls including logging, error handling, retries, exception management, and monitoring.

• Proficient in source/version control systems such as Git and contemporary software development methodologies.

• Experience in developing or executing automated API/integration tests using Postman/Newman or similar technologies.

• Skilled in troubleshooting complex interfaces and data exchanges across various enterprise systems.

• Ability to fulfill applicable Federal background investigation/security requirements.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

• Reliable internet connection for effective remote work on telecommuting days.

• Willingness to occasionally work extended hours or weekends based on operational necessities.
