Senior Instructional System Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the analysis, design, and development of educational materials

• Evaluate existing or supplied content to pinpoint gaps, establish learning objectives, and suggest development frameworks

• Develop analysis and design documentation utilizing adult learning principles and the ADDIE model

• Produce storyboards for online and virtual instructor-led learning materials

• Generate instructional resources including courses, curriculum, student guides, and training manuals

• Utilize AI tools such as CoPilot and ChatGPT to enhance design and development efficiency

• Design content that aligns with learner needs and desired learning outcomes

• Create and implement training that meets client quality standards, technical specifications, and Section 508 accessibility requirements

• Design, create, and deliver interactive narratives, games, simulations, and other experiential learning resources using client-approved tools

• Employ creative and innovative strategies to boost learning effectiveness and engagement

• Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to evaluate training needs, develop concepts, and propose training strategies

• Work alongside a Project Manager to uphold schedules, track milestones, identify timeline risks, and meet deadlines

• Manage team expectations throughout the instructional design lifecycle, address risks, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery

• Utilize authoring tools such as Lectora, Adobe Captivate, or Articulate Storyline

• Craft visual, audio, and interactive learning storyboards

• Employ tools like Vyond, Camtasia, or Adobe After Effects

• Leverage text-to-speech technologies in the creation of learning assets

• Ensure instructional content is precise, consistent, and adheres to quality standards and Section 508 regulations

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design or a related field from an accredited institution

• At least 8 years of experience in a senior instructional systems designer role

• Proven experience in designing and developing courses using Lectora or comparable authoring tools

• Availability during East coast core hours of 9am to 3pm

• Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection

• Strong ability to collaborate closely with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams, including exceptional facilitation and analytical skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Capability to lead a team through the lifecycle of learning asset development

• Proficient in working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

• Experience managing multiple projects at once

• Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint environments

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain the necessary clearance

• Preferred candidates should hold an active WAU public trust clearance
