Senior Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and develop Agora's internal platform for product teams.

• Create reusable abstractions, internal services, developer tools, and foundational infrastructure.

• Manage the TypeScript Pulumi codebase, Kubernetes-based runtime environments, and monitoring systems.

• Architect scalable systems and uphold engineering standards through coding practices.

• Enhance the developer experience by improving platform capabilities.

• Assist product teams in delivering software with confidence, reliability, and efficiency.

• Engage in the interview process, which includes screening, take-home challenges, and both technical and behavioral interviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional Software Engineering experience, with significant involvement in Infrastructure and Cloud sectors.

• Proficient programming skills in TypeScript or another strongly typed language.

• Solid understanding of the fundamentals of distributed systems: availability, consistency, observability, and fault tolerance.

• Experience in designing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code frameworks.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS architecture.

• Experience in designing, operating, and scaling Kubernetes workloads.

• Proven capability to create reusable systems and abstractions instead of one-off scripts.

• Majority overlap with ET business hours is required.

• Must be physically located in Argentina or Uruguay.

• Preferred: experience in defining SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and incident management tools.

• Preferred: experience in enhancing observability practices, alerts, operational dashboards, and business metrics.

• Preferred: familiarity with GitOps methodologies and deployment automation technologies.

• Preferred: expertise in Developer Experience or Developer Productivity.

• Preferred: experience in developing Internal Development Platforms with self-service capabilities and established best practices.

• Preferred: experience in maintaining and operating production-grade systems and participating in on-call rotations.
