Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create a platform that facilitates swift and dependable delivery by feature teams.

• Develop and improve the continuous delivery pipeline along with an AWS-native platform.

• Collaborate closely with feature teams, treating them as internal clients, to provide platform functionalities.

• Design, construct, and enhance workflows for automated builds, testing, and deployments.

• Design and implement AWS infrastructure utilizing CloudFormation and CDK in TypeScript.

• Participate in architectural decision-making and the ongoing development of the tooling ecosystem.

• Manage and enhance AWS CodeArtifact and ECR for artifact and container image management.

• Configure and maintain central platform components.

• Provide and improve local developer tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience in developing platform and CI/CD strategies.

• Capacity to make well-informed technical decisions and work autonomously.

• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with feature teams and within the Platform team.

• Extensive experience with AWS, especially ECS, VPC, AWS WAF, CloudFront, and CloudFormation (CFN).

• Proficient knowledge of TypeScript.

• Basic understanding of Java.

• Skilled in Gradle, Git, AWS CodeArtifact, and ECR.

• Experience with AWS CDK in TypeScript.

• Conversational proficiency in German is essential.

• Practical experience in building local developer tools.

• Strong comprehension of Developer Experience.

• Networking skills, particularly in VPN setup, are advantageous.

• Experience with Spring Boot, Angular, or Flutter, as well as familiarity with networking technologies and VPN configuration, is a plus.
