This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Guarantee the ongoing operation, security, and enhancement of the information technology infrastructure.
• Ensure that both physical and logical resources are accessible, current, and aligned with operational requirements.
• Set up and oversee security policies on Linux operating systems, including access control, file permissions, and firewall configurations.
• Monitor event logs on Linux servers and workstations to detect any suspicious or abnormal activity.
• Apply security patches and updates to Linux systems as necessary.
• Implement hardening methodologies on Linux servers and workstations.
• Conduct regular compliance audits on Linux systems.
• Review user permissions and privileges on Linux platforms.
• Document security incidents and recommend technical mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate on investigations related to incidents involving Linux systems.
• Prepare technical reports regarding the security and performance metrics of Linux systems.
• Configure and maintain firewalls and tools such as iptables and UFW.
• Execute vulnerability scans.
• Conduct integrity audits of critical files and logs.
• Assess privileged accounts and implement segregation of duties.
• Implement and manage data encryption using LUKS.
• Evaluate and configure application control policies with SELinux/AppArmor.
• Monitor and respond to alerts from SIEM tools.
• Implement and oversee security policies for SSH, LDAP, and databases.
• Perform forensic analysis on compromised Linux systems.
• Evaluate and implement multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Develop resilient and secure architectures, including network segmentation, load balancing, and granular controls.
• Conduct simulations of advanced attacks, zero-day vulnerability exploitation, privilege escalation, and lateral movement.
• Create and maintain scripts in Bash, Python, or other languages for security automation.
• Design and implement strategies for ransomware prevention, detection, and recovery.
• Carry out other information security and Linux environment-related tasks as required by operational needs.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related discipline.
• Experience in information security or Linux environments.
• Experience must be evidenced by a contractor agreement (Pessoa Jurídica) or an employment record (Carteira de Trabalho) showing the start and end dates for the activity.
• ITIL 4 training with a minimum duration of 12 hours.
• Official ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher.
• Linux Professional Institute LPIC-3 Security certification.
• One of the following certifications: ECSA (EC-Council Certified Security Analyst), CySA+ (CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst), ECIH (EC-Council Certified Incident Handler), or CSIH (Certified Specialist Incident Handler).
