This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Lead AECOM’s Industrial Engineering team across various regions and offices
• Report directly to a Market Sector Leader or Industrial Principal
• Assist in the delivery of high-value Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial projects
• Develop and implement a high-performing Process Optimization capability
• Integrate Lean thinking and industrial best practices into project execution
• Oversee the development of value propositions for process optimization, manufacturing, and industrial advisory services
• Generate data-driven insights and convert them into practical, implementable solutions
• Manage and execute projects and workstreams to meet agreed quality, cost, and schedule
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and industrial engineering methodologies to analyze and enhance client operations
• Foster relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Participate in business development initiatives, proposals, and thought leadership
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout AECOM
• Contribute to best-practice methods and standards
• Support capability development through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
• Travel across the United States and internationally as necessary
• Attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, along with 8 years of relevant experience, or a demonstrable equivalent
• United States Citizenship is mandatory
• Master’s Degree is advantageous
• Professional memberships and/or certifications are a plus
• A total of 15 years of industry experience, with a preference for 3-5 years in a role-specific capacity
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, process improvement, or similar operational settings
• Familiarity with working within or alongside highly regulated industries
• Capacity to analyze intricate problems and devise practical, value-oriented solutions
• Proficiency in applying Continuous Improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Skill in translating analysis into actionable recommendations
• Experience applying Lean principles in environments outside of manufacturing
• Consulting experience in complex project settings is considered an advantage
• Proficient in process mapping, analysis, and optimization
• Knowledge of production systems, facility design, or industrial operations
• Experience in data analysis and performance improvement
• Proven track record in project delivery and workstream management
• Experience with automation, robotics, or integration of manufacturing systems
• Familiarity with digital manufacturing, simulation, or data analytics tools
