Senior Incident Response Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Oversee incident response initiatives.

• Execute advanced host and network forensics on Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.

• Provide guidance to organizations as they handle threat actor activities.

• Create high-quality verbal and written reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings for customer management.

• Deliver technical content to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Exhibit industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and various public speaking engagements.

• Conduct scoping calls with English- and Japanese-speaking clients and employees to collect information regarding security incidents.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in conducting or managing incident response investigations for organizations, specifically targeting threats such as Advanced Persistent Threats, Organized Crime, and Hacktivists.

• Proficient in utilizing a range of forensic analysis tools during incident response investigations to assess the extent and scope of compromises.

• Strong understanding of network protocols and analysis tools, with the capability to analyze related network logs.

• In-depth knowledge of targeted attacks and the ability to develop tailored tactical and strategic remediation plans for affected organizations.

• Familiarity with threat intelligence, adversary attribution, and its relevance to incident response.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical material to senior executives.

• Proficient in both Japanese (native level) and English, with strong communication capabilities in both languages.

• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI technologies to enhance decision-making, optimize workflows and processes, boost efficiency, and achieve business objectives.

• An undergraduate degree or relevant experience in information security, information systems, or computer science.

• Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with CrowdStrike Falcon is preferred.

• Familiarity with Splunk, LogScale, or similar solutions is preferred.

• Experience in host and network forensics is preferred.

• Background in basic static and behavioral malware analysis is preferred.

• Relevant security certifications (GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, GNFA, etc.) are advantageous.
