Senior IBM Middleware Administrator – Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and provide support for IBM WAS, Portal, BAW, IHS, and IAM platforms.

• Conduct installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, security hardening, and performance optimization.

• Manage application deployments, middleware releases, clustering, high availability, and provide production support.

• Set up SSL/TLS, LDAP/Active Directory integration, SSO, and access control measures.

• Create and sustain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts utilizing Jython, Shell, Python, and PowerShell.

• Diagnose middleware, application, security, and performance challenges across enterprise settings.

• Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and assist with incident, problem, and change management processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in IBM WebSphere Application Server administration.

• Proficient in IBM WebSphere Portal/HCL DX, IBM BAW, IBM IHS, and IBM IAM/Tivoli.

• In-depth knowledge of LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, SSL/TLS, and certificate management.

• Familiarity with Jenkins, Linux/Unix administration, wsadmin/Jython scripting, and middleware automation.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and providing production support in highly available enterprise environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: Experience with WebSphere Liberty, Git, Ansible, Splunk, Dynatrace/AppDynamics.

• Preferred: Knowledge of AWS/Azure along with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift.

• Preferred: Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD implementation.
