Senior HVAC Engineer – Nuclear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design HVAC systems.

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve HVAC engineering challenges.

• Develop comprehensive ventilation systems for commercial and industrial applications, including control room HVAC, laboratory HVAC, chilled water, and heating systems.

• Assist in the planning, scheduling, execution, and coordination of detailed facility engineering design phases.

• Conduct design calculations and create detailed system designs.

• Draft technical specifications for HVAC equipment.

• Prepare engineering studies.

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, client representatives, and suppliers to ensure that designs are thorough and timely.

• Aid senior engineers in evaluating existing facilities and recommend upgrades and replacements.

• Present findings and recommendations to clients and colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from a program accredited by the ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission is mandatory.

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in designing HVAC systems, ventilation systems, heating systems, and chilled water systems for laboratory and/or industrial facilities.

• Proficiency in TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP is required.

• Capability to develop design flow diagrams and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards related to HVAC and ventilation systems is essential.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, CADME, MicroStation, a PE license, and ASHRAE Membership is preferred but not mandatory.
