Senior HRIS Applications Analyst – Workday

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday modules such as Core HCM, Absence Management, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Performance & Talent, and Time Tracking.

• Address Workday operational challenges including time off discrepancies, absence plan variations, and benefit-related integration concerns.

• Resolve issues related to systems, data, and processes that impact HR business workflows and downstream integrations.

• Manage access and deliver data through customized reports and dashboards, encompassing Discovery Boards and Workday Hubs.

• Assist and troubleshoot inbound and outbound integrations and data uploads utilizing EIB, Cloud Connectors, and Workday Studio.

• Offer production support by managing tickets, diagnosing issues, assisting end users, researching solutions, and implementing enhancements.

• Facilitate the annual advanced compensation review and merit-cycle configuration, including equity and bonus management.

• Aid in US Open Enrollment and adhere to global Benefits compliance standards.

• Counsel business stakeholders and inform them about system impacts, process modifications, and data insights.

• Cultivate stakeholder relationships while understanding business initiatives and requirements.

• Create process documentation, playbooks, end-user training materials, and best-practice recommendations.

• Maintain case notes within ServiceNow.

• Organize and carry out unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Promote consistency, standardization, and controls throughout HR workflows.

• Provide informal mentoring regarding Workday functionality, reporting, and HRIS best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in HRIS.

• Hands-on experience in Workday configuration and implementation on a global scale.

• Familiarity with Workday modules including HCM, Absence, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Payroll, Performance & Talent, Time Tracking, and Reporting.

• Extensive knowledge of Workday foundational concepts, business processes, EIBs, Security, Reporting, and calculated fields.

• Proficiency in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday APIs (SOAP/REST).

• Skilled in XML, XSLT, JSON, and web services technologies.

• Experience with integration middleware or iPaaS solutions like Boomi or Workato is advantageous.

• Workday Pro Certification is a plus.

• Experience in experimenting with and developing solutions using AI tools such as Workday Agents, Co-Pilot, or Claude.
