This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist with analytical activities related to data science, machine learning, and generative-AI initiatives.
• Examine Medicare and Medicaid claims data utilizing statistical techniques and both supervised and unsupervised learning methods.
• Aid in the development of components for generative-AI solutions, which include prompt pipelines, basic agents, embedding workflows, and retrieval-augmented systems.
• Participate in predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and program integrity analysis.
• Create and manage clean datasets using Python and SQL tools.
• Develop visualizations that illustrate trends, patterns, and insights from models.
• Record work processes and share findings with team members and stakeholders.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant analytical or technical field, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Applied Mathematics.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Science.
• At least 2 years of experience in performing advanced analyses of Medicare and/or Medicaid data.
• Proven experience in data analysis, ideally within healthcare or claims data.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and machine learning.
• Familiarity with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.
• Exposure to generative AI or contemporary machine learning frameworks, including Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, embeddings, or vector databases.
• Knowledge of SQL and cloud data technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, or Spark is advantageous.
• A solid understanding of fundamental statistics and basic machine learning concepts, including feature engineering, train/test splits, and evaluation metrics.
• Capability to create and interpret data visualizations.
• NACI (T1) public trust requirement is necessary.
• Travel is limited to less than 10%.
