This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the strategy, development, and implementation of real-world evidence programs and health economics models.
• Convert real-world data from health plans, employers, and external data repositories into actionable operational and health economic insights.
• Create evidence to foster commercial growth, enhance market adoption, and stimulate product innovation.
• Publish results in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
• Present scientific findings at national and international conferences, client meetings, and internal gatherings.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to incorporate real-world evidence into commercial messaging, clinical care, and product development.
• Act as an internal subject matter expert.
• Educate colleagues on HEOR methodologies and enhance the organization’s research capabilities.
• Integrate with Clinical Research and Data Science teams to understand Virta’s data pipeline and evidence foundation.
• Evaluate research compliance and privacy protocols.
• Manage a claims dataset analysis project and synchronize evidence requirements with Sales and Marketing.
• Develop an updated HEOR strategy roadmap.
• Conduct initial real-world evidence analyses and initiate a peer-reviewed publication or conference submission.
• Establish scalable, AI-integrated workflows for research and reporting activities.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Health Economics, Public Health, Pharmacoeconomics, or a related discipline; PhD preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in analyzing claims/clinical datasets, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting economic outcomes from clinical programs.
• 3+ years of business experience in a startup or rapidly growing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to translate scientific evidence for commercial and market applications.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or SAS for advanced claims analysis and data modeling.
• Successfully designed and implemented repeatable AI-enabled workflows that mitigate team bottlenecks and enhance efficiency.
• Capable of adhering to HIPAA security and privacy protocols while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
