This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the daily grants management operations of the organization.

• Oversee the complete grants management lifecycle, including all pre- and post-award activities.

• Assess grantee organization eligibility and perform due diligence on grant proposals.

• Prepare grant agreement letters and ensure that grant files are comprehensive and current.

• Monitor, evaluate, and follow up on narrative and financial reports.

• Keep grantee-related documentation and maintain precise records in the grants management system.

• Verify grant status, documentation, and programmatic tagging within the grants management system.

• Collaborate with Finance to facilitate grantee payments and supply reporting data.

• Work with Operations to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Direct grants management processes and procedures while promoting the adoption of streamlined practices.

• Ensure the grants management system aids in programmatic decision-making, budgeting, learning, and grantmaking activities.

• Act as a technical support resource for the grants management system.

• Assist in training and knowledge sharing for program teams regarding forecasting, pipeline development, data analysis, and compliance.

• Innovate and implement new strategies for executing grantmaking initiatives alongside the Grants Management Officer and team members.

• Provide mentorship across teams to foster effective grants management and data governance practices.

• Prepare materials for board meetings, committees, and strategic partnerships as required.

• Work part-time on the coordinated project Rural Victory Fund, under the supervision of Sixteen Thirty Fund.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of four years of experience in the social sector, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations.

• At least five years of experience in grants management.

• Familiarity with grants management processes and systems.

• Preference for candidates with experience in Fluxx.

• Advanced skills in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive).

• Proficient in video conferencing platforms, such as Zoom.

• Ability to understand or quickly learn the financial and regulatory landscape for nonprofit and philanthropic entities.

• A strong commitment to racial justice and equity.

• Exceptional project management skills, with experience in developing and completing complex projects.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical thinking.

• Highly collaborative with a mindset geared towards partnership.

• Entrepreneurial and resourceful, with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving.

• Desired experience working in philanthropic, fiscal sponsor, nonprofit intermediary, funder collaborative, or other grantmaking organizations.

• Preferred experience in a multi-entity organization or campaigns, including knowledge of lobbying and political activity compliance requirements.

• Experience in providing training and user support for grants management systems is preferred.

• Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Comfortable working with individuals from nonprofit organizations, government, foundations, and private sectors.

• Desired working proficiency in a second language relevant to rural America.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience living or working in rural America.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
